Regional service “Fire safety and protection of the population” will conduct trainings for young volunteers in the center in the village of Belitsa

On the initiative of the National Service “Fire Safety and Protection of the Population” – Ministry of the Interior together with the Ministry of Education and Science, in 1999 the status of the “Young Firefighter” youth firefighting squads was confirmed as an extracurricular form of raising the firefighting culture of adolescents and an analogue of the youth firefighting units in European countries. The formation of youth firefighting units “Young Firefighter” aims to popularize the profession of firefighters and to provide basic knowledge about fire, its development, ways to avoid it and rules for safe behavior during a fire.

The regional service "Fire safety and protection of the population" and the schools on the territory of the town of Tutrakan actively participate in the events that are organized at the regional and district level. The "Young Firefighter" teams that have won prizes take part in national competitions of the youth firefighting squads, and the students in them show a high firefighting culture and good skills in this field.
During the current 2024/2025 school year, the Regional Office "Fire Safety and Protection of the Population" expressed its readiness, together with the Tutrakan Municipality and the schools on the territory of the municipality, to use the material and technical base of the Volunteer Training Center - Belitsa village and to conduct the extracurricular activities with the youth formations Young firefighter".
